Power Washing carried out by the LM Trees & Landscaping team in a Scottish garden

What we provide

Carefully finished power washing.

Scottish weather is hard on outdoor surfaces. Driveways, patios, paths and walls collect algae, moss, lichen and ingrained dirt that make a well-kept property look neglected and leave paving slippery underfoot in winter. Professional power washing lifts years of build-up and brings the original colour of the stone, slabs or monoblock back. We clean hard surfaces for homes and small commercial properties across Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perthshire, working carefully so the surface is restored rather than damaged.

What's included

Everything covered in a typical power washing job

  • Driveways

Monoblock, slab, concrete and tarmac driveways cleaned across the full area, including edges and awkward corners rather than just the visible middle.

  • Patios and paths

Paving and steps cleaned back to their original colour, with slippery algae and moss removed to make surfaces safer in wet weather.

  • Walls and outdoor surfaces

Boundary walls, steps, decking and other hard surfaces washed down at a pressure suited to the material.

  • Joint clearing

Weeds and moss removed from joints, with re-sanding of monoblock joints available where needed to keep the surface stable.

  • Rinse down and tidy

All silt and residue rinsed away and the surrounding area left clean, not covered in washed-off debris.

Our process

How a power washing job runs

  1. 01

    Enquiry and site visit

Tell us what you need by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form. We arrange a convenient visit to look at access, ground conditions and the scale of the job.

  2. 02

    Clear written quote

You receive a straightforward price with no hidden extras, including waste removal and the time we expect the work to take.

  3. 03

    Scheduling

We agree a date that suits you and confirm beforehand, working around weather and your household where needed.

  4. 04

    The work itself

We clear the area, protect nearby planting and doorways, then clean methodically in passes at a pressure matched to the surface for a consistent, stripe-free finish.

  5. 05

    Clean-up and aftercare

We clear all arisings and debris, leave the area swept and tidy, and give practical advice on looking after the results.

Why choose us for power washing

Power washing can do real damage in the wrong hands — blown pointing, scored slabs, and stripped tarmac are all easily done. We match pressure and technique to the material, work in even passes so you are not left with obvious lines, and are fully insured. The finish matters to us as much as the cleaning.

Power Washing in Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perthshire

Damp, shaded and coastal conditions across Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perthshire encourage fast algae and lichen growth, and north-facing driveways here often green over again within a couple of years. Many properties around Perthshire and Angus have older natural stone and traditional lime pointing that needs a gentler approach than modern concrete slabs, which is exactly the kind of judgement we make on site.

Common questions

Power Washing FAQs

Will power washing damage my driveway?

Not when the pressure and nozzle are matched to the surface. We adjust our approach for monoblock, natural stone, concrete and softer materials, and we will advise if a surface is too fragile to clean safely.

How often should I have surfaces cleaned?

In the Scottish climate most driveways and patios benefit from cleaning every one to three years, sooner for shaded or north-facing areas.

Do you re-sand monoblock joints?

Yes, kiln-dried sand can be brushed back into the joints after cleaning to keep the blocks locked together. Just ask when you request a quote.

Do you need access to water and power?

We normally use an outside tap where one is available and will confirm what is needed when we quote.

Will it kill my plants?

We protect adjacent borders and rinse foliage where there is any overspray, so planting is not affected.

What customers say

Reviews from our Facebook page

“Lee and team did a garden clearance for me after moving into a property with a pretty neglected garden, including a pretty hefty ivy growth on the back of the house. They did an absolutely cracking job of clearing all the growth, the ivy, some unexpected branch piles and taking away all the rubbish. Did in a day what would have taken me many days to do myself. Also got some great advice on the next steps of bringing the garden back to life.”

“Had Lee and team lay a patio and path. Work was done in a good manner and to a high standard, everything was left clean and tidy and nothing was too much hassle. Thanks Mr McDonald.”

“I can’t recommend this landscaping business enough! They turned our overgrown garden into exactly what we wanted. Showed up on time every day, worked efficiently, and left everything tidy when they finished. Great value for money and really friendly service – will definitely be using them again.”
