A thicket of self-seeded trees and scrub had taken over the boundary. Everything was felled in sections, the arisings chipped and removed, and the ground raked back to bare soil ready for replanting or turf.

The open gap between the block wall and the house was measured, framed and fitted with a made-to-size stained timber gate, giving the rear patio secure, private access.

Years of green algae and moss were washed off the boundary brickwork, coping stones and concrete steps, lifting the whole frontage back to its original colour without damaging the mortar.

Perthshire

Overgrown hedge reshaped and a new stained fence installed

A sprawling conifer hedge was cut back hard and squared off to open up the field views, then a new close-board fence was built along the boundary and stained dark to finish. The lawn was cleared of debris and left tidy.

A rubble-strewn, compacted plot cleared of stone, broken up and raked to a true level before fresh turf was laid wall to wall. The finished lawn runs neatly to the fence line and the existing slabbed path.
